Physical Education

Kindergarten through second grade receive 30 minutes of P.E. every 3 days on a rotating schedule.  Third through sixth graders get 40 minutes of P E every 3 days.

For those students that desire a more competitive environment, after school sports is offered.  All 5th and 6th graders that are passing all subjects in school are allowed to participate in various sports after school.  These include girls volleyball, boys and girls cross country, boys flag football, and boys and girls basketball.  All second through sixth graders are allowed to participate in cross country.  Games are scheduled between all Flowing Wells Elementary Schools.

Richardson School has a morning intramural sports program for 4th through 6th graders.  Sports include volleyball, flag football, and basketball.  Players sign a team up, a schedule is made and the games begin.  Games are played in the mornings at 7:40 a.m. until the first bell if needed.

All 5th and 6th grade students participate in a Flowing Wells District Track and Field Meet.  The track  meet is held in the Spring.  Competition is between all six district elementary schools.
